What is the light on the transmitter?

The status light on the transmitter lets you know if the transmitter is turned on. When using a boundary wire with the MB-2, the status light glows green only when there is a continuous signal loop. See Owner’s Guide for additional information. Note: The green light may be steady green or blinking green. This depends on the frequency setting of the transmitter.

How do I increase and decrease the signal range (the distance the signal radiates from the transmitter) to make the “off-limits” avoidance zone area larger or smaller?

On the back of the transmitter, there is a signal range knob. Turn the knob toward the ‘Max’ to increase the signal range. This increases the size of the signal field. Turn the knob toward the ‘Min’ to decrease the signal range. This decreases the size of the signal field.

Do I need separate collars for inside and outside?

You do not need separate collars. Use the same collar inside and outside.

How large can I make the “off-limits” area?

The MB-2 can be used with up to 500 ft of wire to protect a large area or create multiple “off limits” zones. When used wirelessly, the MB-2 can be adjusted up to a maximum of 13 feet in diameter (6.5 feet in all directions from the transmitter).

Can I use the MB-2 outdoors?

No, the MB-2 is designed for indoor use only. If you are looking for a portable pet fence that can be used outdoors, check out our MB-1 Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Dog Fence. Or if you are looking for a pet fence to give your dog or cat freedom in your yard, check out our wired underground Outdoor Hidden Fences. Important: Do not set the transmitter on or near large metal objects.

MB-2 Dual Function Indoor Dog Fence - DogWatch of Buffalo and Niagara

Not All Rules Are Meant to Be Broken

The MB-2 is our most flexible indoor boundary solution. Its transmitter works with or without a boundary wire to keep your pet(s) safe and out of trouble. The MB-2 is compatible with all DogWatch FM receivers, so if you already have an outdoor hidden fence, you can use the same collar indoors and outdoors!

You can install the MB-2 with up to 500ft wire to protect a large defined indoor area (such as a dining room or second floor). Or you can use it without a wire for greater flexibility to protect smaller areas (such as kitchen counters or litter boxes). Used wirelessly, the MB-2 can protect an area up to 13 feet in diameter (6 1/2 feet from center).

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a great experience with Mike at Dog Watch. Explaining the whole process, installation was easy and non disruptive and the training was great. It’s also comforting to know Mike is available for any questions or issues going forward. So far so good and our pup Benny is doing great learning his new space.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Awesome experience with Mike! He is very punctual and accommodating. We had a tricky spot in our backyard and he was able to get the fence through with no issues. We needed an additional collar and he was able to bring it out to us the very next day. Highly recommend, great product and great service!

I have a high drive bird dog that had escaped and struggled to get her to stay within our boundaries. Once our dogwatch fence was installed we have a different dog. She is calmer, happier, and our stress levels working about her running off are gone.

Install was quick, professional, and the pricing was great. Highly recommend

DogWatch Indoor Pet Fences emit a radio signal that is detected by the receiver collar worn by your pet—the same way the outdoor hidden fence systems work. As your pet approaches the signal field (initially marked with a series of flags to help your pet identify the area), the receiver collar begins to emit an audible (or vibration) warning beep. If your pet goes beyond the warning zone, the warning is quickly followed by a ‘correction’—a mild electrical stimulation from the receiver collar. With proper training, your pet will quickly learn to stay away from areas that he associates with the warning.
